Going Global
With the Spring season approaching slowly but surely, many of us have decided to take Holiday a bit early before only to (hopefully) come back to gorgeous city stomping grounds. If escaping the cement for sand and Aguardiente sounds appealing make sure to dress the part. Our quintessential travel girl is one that is jetset with a bit of a Gypsy mentality, or another words Julia Chaplin's coined term "Gypset". She prefers luxury without the attitude, and doesn't mind wearing the same Dries dress on the beach from the night before. Bright prints, loose silhouettes, no logos, and versatility is key. Dresses will take you day to night, our Balenciaga travel clutch doubles as a purse, and turn up the notch with sunset-colored heels that will send you spinning into the wild hours of night.

To Have and Hold | 12 Bags to Fancy for Spring
The Shlepper and the Refined Shlep
These are your rough and tumble "get-you-through-your-day" bags. Enough room to carry your day planner, iPad, books, emergency flats, an entire colony of trolls (oh that's where my Chapstick went)...you get the idea. Of course there's the refined schlepper we call it, where the organizational compartments and space is needed, but a more simple aesthetic.

All-Around Status
These will last you a lifetime, can be worn with any type of outfit and will do the job right. Your classic go-to when feeling indecisive.

Feelin' Fancy
A little more jazzy, these carry a little more bling than your classic chain-strap. Not quite strictly "evening bag only" these can carry you from a dinner with friends to a dizzy night getting your disco on.

Haute Hippie
Jonesing for a "Going to California" type vibe, our Chanel slubby knit sweater spun a whirlwind of images. Instead of going completely Gypsy, throw in layered gold chains, a classic quilted lady purse, and you'll find yourself going Gyp-set. High style with a bohemian influence, this look is a favorite amongst young creatives. No logos here, keep it simple by focusing on the quality, and dress up with accessories. Think platform heels, high-waisted silhouettes, cropped knit sweaters, Navajo beading and accents. Top it off with a brimmed hat or twist up an Hermes scarf around your head.

Over the Rainbow
On the verge of being desperado, this is my call to Mother Nature to stop teasing us with 'not-really-spring-but-looks-like-it' weather. As a result we've been slowly working bright pops of color into our daily wearables, but more than ready to burst like a Skittles rainbow. There's a hue for everyone, this season we will not discriminate to just one or two color stories. The entire spectrum of the rainbow was played up and down across the runways from even designers you wouldn't expect. The trend isn't for the modest, you must be confident in your choosing and accessorize lightly. Tomato reds will stand out on their own, structured silhouettes are fun when playing with complimentary colors, and don't be afraid to go completely monochromatic (but play at risk, i.e. pair down with neutrals or use tints and shades far from each other on the scale). See our spectrum of vibrant dresses that will have us all (New Yorkers, at least) shaking our fists collectively at Mother Nature.
